Why join AOJ?

Airsoft Online Japan (AOJ) responds to the common complaint of monotony in Japanese airsoft games by introducing innovative and diverse game modes beyond the typical Counter games and Capture the Flag. Our mission is to inject excitement into airsoft and build a community that transcends traditional limitations. AOJ, fueled by a shared passion among friends, has become a beacon of diversity in the airsoft realm, attracting enthusiasts from both English and Japanese communities with our unique game modes and unwavering dedication to the sport.

Don't play alone!

We provide a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere for players of all backgrounds, including college students, salarymen, women, parents, and visitors to Japan. Our diverse membership, consisting of people from around the world and local Japanese players, allows us to offer language support in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Whether you're a beginner or experienced player, we strive to welcome and support everyone with training, translation services, and a friendly environment. Our use of radios enhances teamwork and immersion, fostering a social atmosphere during gameplay.

Community & field relations

Beyond airsoft games, our community organizes a variety of outdoor events, including hiking, beach trips, camping, picnics, barbecues, and pub outings. We ensure there's always something exciting on the horizon for our members. Our community leaders collaborate with different fields to provide unique experiences such as overnight camping at places like Camp Devgru or the exhilarating atmosphere of Sabage Paradise. We continually seek opportunities to offer our members the best possible experiences. Whether you're interested in combining airsoft with a barbecue or overnight camping, we've got you covered!

AOJ's games are not just a day of capture the flag

Organizing typical flag and team deathmatch games is easy and cost-free, but our games at Airsoft Online Japan (AOJ) go beyond the ordinary. We introduce unique game modes with custom-built props and items, funded through donations. Our leaders have invested personal funds to establish a website, build a community, advertise, and create exclusive props, adding fresh ideas and excitement to airsoft in Japan. These unique props have garnered interest from field owners looking to purchase them for their own use. Our diverse game modes range from warm-up deathmatches to more challenging and unique scenarios, providing a varied and engaging experience.

AOJ's Special Games include:

  • Bomb the Enemy

  • Border Patrol

  • Domination

  • Hostage Rescue

  • Capture the Juggernaut

  • Switch

  • Last Man Standing

  • Black Hawk Down

  • 28 Seconds Later

We have actual props you can use

Our games at Airsoft Online Japan (AOJ) feature innovative devices to enhance gameplay beyond the usual button-pressing experience. An example is our Game Timer, equipped with a powerful horn audible up to 100 meters, signaling the start and end of the game, ensuring precise time management without the need for constant clock watching.

Crafted from durable ABS and powered by a 12v battery and Raspberry Pi processor, the AOJ team's creation simplifies game environments, reducing stress for game masters. Additionally, AOJ games stand out with functional player devices like wire defusing bombs, passcode defusing bombs, digital counters, domination switches, and a bomb vest for special scenarios.

Financed through donations and the AOJ team, these devices, mainly the BD Mk.II (Bakudan Mark II), housed in a robust weapon case with an LCD display, keypad, metal buttons, missile switch, key switch, and powered by an 11.1v LiPo battery, bring a unique level of excitement to games. The 120 decibel siren built into the bomb signals the end of the game to everyone in the vicinity.
